Our Love Story
Micah and Skylar have had quite the journey, scroll through to learn more about their story!
Micah met Skylar in an English 1 class that he failed the first year. The first time Micah saw skylar, she was in the Titans Cheer Uniform, and he just had to talk to her.
Skylar....had a boyfriend however. Did this stop Micah? Absolutely not. He wrote his snapchat on her arm to assert dominance. (she scrubbed it off her arm later that evening)
Micah eventually got her number, Skylar eventually broke up with that boyfriend (Sorry Carson), they started talking every single day. Micah played hard to get, so naturally, he asked her out almost every single day.
After a long shift at Bojangles, Skylar finally said yes, and the love of the century was born!
my friends, true love is not something for the faint of heart, and our heroes might have been a little feint. While Skylar and Micah enjoyed their time together, studying, jumping on Skylar's trampoline, going on movie dates, they also had a little bit of trouble towards the beginning and...*gasp* broke up.
this lasted a grand total of 2 weeks.
when they got back together, the renewed their love for each other, and faced the journey ahead with confidence and grace
but then covid happened.
Micah was away at UNCW, Skylar was finishing her final year during the COVID year, and it was a rough time.
did this stop our heroes from talking every day? and embracing each other with the deepest love when they saw each other next? Absolutely not.
picture it: Skylar gets her acceptance letter to Appstate. Micah also gets his acceptance letter to Appstate. People don't have to wear masks anymore.

Skylar and Micah spent their first year in college together in 2021-2022, walking to each others dorms and living closer to one another than ever before
2 years into their college career, Micah made the bold move of asking Skylar to live with him. a huge step for our heroes, they found a perfect apartment. It wasn't perfect because it had maroon carpet, or because there was no washer or dryer in the apartment, or because there was no AC.....
it was perfect because it was theirs.
On December 30th, 2024, Micah finally popped the question that he had been dying to ask her since he met her in that fateful english class all those years ago.
it was easy! It's not like he spent days and days looking for the perfect ring, and trying to find the perfect time to propose, and trying to a build a day that could reflect just a fraction of his love for her...super simple.
she said yes, as she had also been waiting for this question. to others, it seemed like a no brainer, they just HAD to get married. but to them, this moment, and everything that led up to it, was the pinnacle of their love, and the beginning of a new journey.
on October 30th, 2026, Micah and Skylar will pronounce their love for each other in front of their closest friends and family, and in front of those who watch over us from above.
afterwards, they will jump on a space pegasus that breathes fire and soars through the cosmos...or something.
to you Skylar, I pronounce my undying love for you, and promise you that I will work tirelessly to love you ferociously for the rest of your life.
